The Rich, the Comfortable and the Broke Drummer
There are drummers who take playing drums as a hobby and there are others who are passionate about this hobby and wants to make this hobby their profession. All they want to do is play and make good money as a drummer. Easier said than done. And like every other profession there is the struggling artiste and bubbling artiste. Not sure about other industry but in the drum industry there are three (3) kind of drummers: The Rich Drummer. The Comfortable Drummer. The Broke Drummer. (1) The Rich Drummer : The guy with the Gigs. He has more Gigs than he can play. Always on tour. Plays for the biggest artiste in the music industry. He knows the right people (very influential) and never lacks opportunities. He is in no need for a side hustle (the drums covers the bills). Signed to three or more different drum brands. Nice cars and house. Beautiful wife and children. He is the rich drummer we all want to be. Not just rich in cash but rich in every other aspect as a drummer. Eve
